Elizabeth Jane (Farnsley) Schleicher

Elizabeth Jane "Betty" (Farnsley) Schleicher, 85, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020. She retired as a Senior Customer Service Representative for Public Service. Upon retirement, Betty began a second successful career as a Realtor with Schuler Bauer Realty.

She was born on October 24, 1934, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Leslie and Annis (O'Bannon) Farnsley. Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Schleicher; and brother, C. Boyd Farnsley.

Betty is survived by her nieces, Tonja Aaron-Wells (John), Paige Vollmer, Sian Ragland, and Tyra Creamer (Gary); stepdaughter, Carol Nutter; stepson, Jerry Schleicher; as well as several great-nieces and -nephews.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2020, in the chapel at the funeral home with private entombment to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
