Elizabeth Ann (Silliman) Payne

Elizabeth Ann (Silliman) Payne, 84, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. She graduated from Sullivan University and retired from WorkOne in New Albany. Beth loved the friendships she made through her involvement with Beta Sigma Phi. A lady in every sense of the word, Beth possessed a great sense of fashion and an impeccable command of the English language. In addition to her love for dogs, Beth enjoyed sewing and dancing.
She was born on July 13, 1938, in Floyd County, Indiana, to Edward and Mary Catherine (Smith) Silliman. In addition to her parents, Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Payne; and son, Kieran Cain.
Beth is survived by her daughters, Krista Eichler (Lorenz) and Kanessa Kramer (Ken); grandchildren, Gabriel Eichler, Rebecca Eichler (Hendrik), McKinley Kramer, and Kennedy Kramer; and a host of Cain family members whom she cherished deeply.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany) with burial to follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.
