Elizabeth Louise Legler

Elizabeth L. "Betty" Legler, passed away on Nov. 6 at Meadowview Health and Rehab, Louisville, KY, with her only daughter, Kay, and son-in-law David by her side.
Betty was born in Madison, WI, on Nov. 4, 1919, to Carl and Della (Vahlen) Sachtjen. She attended Whitewater State Teachers College in Whitewater, WI, after graduating from Madison East High School. She married John Saillard in 1949 and settled in Belvidere, IL. After his passing in 1959, she remarried Robert Legler in 1964. They ultimately moved from Belvidere to Aurora, IL. After he passed in 2004, Betty decided to move to Louisville, KY, to be near her daughter. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and bingo, and socializing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and two spouses.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay (David) Goldberg of Louisville, KY, and a niece and nephews.
There will be a Graveside Service Monday November 11, 2013 at 1pm located at Lakeview Lutheran Cemetery 4001 Mandrake Road, Madison, Wisconsin.
