Elizabeth "Janie" Lawfer, 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
She was born on July 18, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Joseph and Katherine (Mumaw) Nally.
Janie worked in the commercial lines insurance company for many years. She had a passion for volunteering with her husband Joe.
Janie is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Joe Lawfer; sons, Scott Powers (Chris Mejia), Andy Lawfer (Nicki), Lance Lawfer (Priscylla); granddaughter, Adeline Lawfer; and siblings, Glen Nally (Vicky) and Kathy Nally.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions in Janie's memory be made to the ALS Foundation.
