Elizabeth Griffin

Elizabeth "Liz" (Rule) Griffin, 93, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021.

She was born on November 19, 1927 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky to the late Robert Thurman Rule and Maude (Wilcox) Rule. She is also preceded in death by her husband Willard Lee Griffin and siblings; Mary Louise (Rule) Gary, Margaret Ellen (Rule) Bratcher, Robert Samuel Rule, Arthur Felix Rule and Leonard Ray Rule.

Liz is survived by her loving daughter, Timalee Sue Griffin, granddaughter, Amber Simone (Bacon) Green, step-daughter, Debbie (Griffin) Shell Hughes, great-grandchildren Lilly Elizabeth Green and Elijah Green. She is also survived by five step-grandchildren; Taylor Shell, Sunnessa Shell Ennis, Bryce Shell, Brandon Shell, Beau Shell and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).

Visitation will also be held from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetery.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the funeral home.
