Elijah Lee Williams Sr. (Lil-E), was born on December 31, 1992 in Louisville,
Kentucky to Eddie L. Williams Sr. and Elaine V. (nee Smith) Williams. He
answered the call to come home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 26, 2022.
Raised with strong Christian values, Elijah professed his love. He was baptized at
Oakland Missionary Baptist Church on February 7, 1999. Elijah was a free spirit.
He loved spending time with his children, family, and friends. Elijah received an
education at Doss High School. He acquired an interest in old school cars (Chevy
in particular) and motorcycles. He loved riding and racing cars and motorcycles.
Elijah's love for motorcycles inspired him to become a motorcycle mechanic which
was deeply embedded by his watching and observing his father.
Elijah was greeted in Heaven by his grandmothers, Elizabeth Todd Smith and
Jamesetta Gilkey; grandfathers, Robert Lewis Rowe and Johnell Johnson; greatgrandparents, Henry (Bessie) Williams, Elijah Todd, William (Charlotte) Herron, Joseph(Oddessa) Knuckles, Henry (Edna) Rowe, and George (JoEddie) Smith, and aunts, Levonia Johnson-Kimmons and Marlinda Moorman-Embry.
Elijah will be sadly missed by his loving children, Elijah Lee Williams Jr. and
Elaiyah Le'Chele; mother, Elaine V. (nee Smith) Williams (Louisville, KY); father,
Eddie Lewis Williams Sr. (New Albany, IN); brother, Eddie Lewis Williams Jr.
(Louisville KY); significant other, Erika Jones; grandfather, Sammie Lee Smith
(Oxford, MS); grandmother, Anna Lee Johnson (Elizabethtown, KY); uncles,
Dewayne (Joyce) Smith (Hampton, GA) and Micheal (Wanda) Barnett.
He easily drew people to him and developed long lasting and loving relationships,
as with Jerry Tokes, Krystal I. Brown, Brittney M. Lowe, Uncle Micheal, and
Nathaniel Williams, as well as a host of uncles, cousins, friends, extended family,
and the 502 Rydaz Motorcycle Club.
We are heartbroken that he won't get to spend more time with us here on earth.
He will be missed more than any words can express. We give deep thanks for the
countless number of people that have offered their prayers, loving support and
kindness to our family during this trial in our lives. God showed His care for us
through them. Although Elijah's loss here on earth is heartbreaking, we know that
we will be together again for eternity because of our faith in Jesus. Thanks be to
Christ for His salvation, our only sure hope in this life.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Newcomer
Cremations, Funerals & Receptions- Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie
Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, at Oakland Missionary
Baptist Church (1226 Algonquin Parkway) with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
