Eileen T. (Shalvey) Wiles, 87, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014. A devout Catholic, Eileen was a member of St. Mary Navilleton Catholic Church in Floyds Knobs. A devoted wife, proud mother and grandmother, she treasured her family dearly.
Eileen was born on June 3, 1927 in Wheeling, WV to the late Bernard & Margaret (Donovan) Shalvey. She is survived by her children, Thomas S. Wiles (Ann), Colleen M. May (Dennis), Judith W. Carroll (Doug), Jeffrey B. Wiles, Charles "Chuck" M. Wiles (Nancy); sister, Sister Catherine Shalvey; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 64 years, Thomas R. Wiles; her brothers; Bernard & Joseph Shalvey; sisters, Rose Marie Knight & Mary Margaret Kaufman; daughter-in-law, Donna Wiles.
A Private Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary Navilleton Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
