Edwin Sturgeon

Edwin S. "Ed" Sturgeon, 53, of Clarksville passed away on July 4, 2011. He was currently employed as a correction officer for the Clark County Police Department.

Ed was born on May 29, 1958 in New Albany, Indiana to Arthur L. Sturgeon and Jo Anne (Warren) Thomas.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife of 25 years, Shanon (Lock) Sturgeon; children, Kimberly A. Sturgeon, Jessica K. Sturgeon, David E. Lock; brothers, Steven Sturgeon and his wife, Paula and Marc Thomas and his wife, Roxie; and grandson, Landon Cole Sturgeon.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, July 8, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 10 AM on Saturday in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
