Edwin D. Miller, age 66 of Louisville, passed away Monday, August 4, 2014. Born in Hodgenville, Kentucky, he grew up in Hart County, where he attended Hart County High School. He was a member of Southeast Christian Church. Ed was previously employed by Swope Auto Group and Sloane Auto Group. He was currently employed with M H Equipment. He was a proud Kentucky Colonel and an avid UK fan. He was a member of the Hardin County Jaycees for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burd and Nellie Miller, and his brother, Ralph Miller.
Ed is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Bogard Miller; children, Brian (Debbie) and Kevin (Dawna) Miller; step-children, Jason Shaffer (Audra), Michael Brown (Joey), Amy Newton (Josh) and Jennifer Demo (Brian); grandchildren, Tradd, Tori, Trae, Tate, Ava and Ella Miller, Victoria and Cassie Shaffer, Haley and Cameron Brown, Allie, Madison and Wyatt Newton, and Abigail Demo; great-granddaughter, Adly Miller; siblings, Holbert Miller, Jesse Miller (Bev), Berny Miller (Pat), Randall Miller (Nancy), Nancye Bazzle, Martha Rickwald (Michael); mother and father in-law, Evelyn "Mama" and Bob Owens. Ed is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of Ed's life will be 11am Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive. Visitation will be there on Friday from 4-8pm and after 9:30am Saturday until time of service.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
