Edward Chester Woodfin Iii

Edward Chester "Woody" Woodfin III, 82, of Laconia, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023. Woody was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Hayswood Community Theater and Lanesville Christian Church. Woody loved camping, raising pigeons, horses and working with his hands.

He was born on September 17, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to Edward Woodfin Jr. and Norma Sharp Woodfin. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Woodfin.

Woody is survived by his son, Chuck Woodfin and his wife, Cheryl; daughter, Elaine Woodfin; and grandchildren, Amanda Danielson, Brad Wampler, Mallory Hale, Christina Woodfin, Sarah Woodfin, Matthew Hale, and Sean Woodfin.

Cremation was chosen following Woody's wishes and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
