Edward Thomas Beets, 62, of Henryville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016. He was a retired electrician and member of the IBEW Local 369.
He was born on May 1, 1954, in New Albany, Indiana, to Edna (Wall) Beets and the late Raymond Beets. Along with his mother, Ed is survived by his wife, Teresa (Hunchman) Beets; brother, Mike Beets (Katie); and step-son, Jacob Schuley.
Cremation was chosen following Ed's wishes. Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care. A Memorial Service will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at the Sellersburg Moose Lodge #1757 (1040 South Indiana Avenue, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) with a reception of family and friends to follow.
Contributions in Ed's memory may be made to his family in care of the funeral home.
