Edward L. Parnell

Edward L. "Eddie" Parnell, 66, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. He was a native of Utica, Indiana, and was an assistant store manager of KFC for over 20 years. He loved riding his motorcycle, playing guitar, and singing for everyone, though his favorite thing to do was to hang out around a bonfire with his loved ones.

He was born on February 23, 1956, to the late Sybil (Edwards) Bush. Along with his mother, he is preceded in death by his brother, Chuck Parnell; son, Gary Howard; and his dog, Molly.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Parnell; daughter, Kyra (Brad) Edwards of Winder, Georgia; stepdaughter, Debbie Hack (Roger Riner) of Georgetown, Indiana; 7 grandchildren, Ally, Parker, and Blaine Edwards, and Lexie, Dylan, Rylee, and Tyberius Howard; his nieces and nephews, Bobbie Jo, Natoshia, and David; and his puppy, Copper.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow in accordance with Eddie's wishes.
