Edward Matthew Whelehan

Edward Matthew Whelehan age 82, was called home on September 6, 2014 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was a veteran of the United States Airforce and served in the Korean War. Ed enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, going to the senior center, playing cards and liked being difficult at times.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Margaret and his daughter Laura and his great-grandson Jude. He is survived by his four daughters; Kelly(Bobby), Colleen(Jeff), Lorain(Wayne) and Siobhan(Adam), along with his two other daughters; Stephanie(Matt) and Laura. Seven grandchildren; Kristina, Carrie, Nikko, Ashley, Susie, Nadia and Brenden along with three great-grandchildren; Aidyn, Elise and Priscilla and one on the way. Also four other grandchildren; Chelsea, Shelby, Jadyn and Jaxon along with one great-grandchild Cora.

Visitation will be on Wednesday September 10, 2014 from 2-7PM with service to follow at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville,KY 40243.
