Edward Andrew "Eddie" Heil, 39, an amazing husband, father and friend, of Laconia, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. He was an employee at McCrite Milling in New Albany. He was a passionate about everything outdoors, including hunting, fishing, bow fishing, archery and golf.
Eddie always said that "he was a jack of all trades, but master at none." He was a genuine person that would drop anything at anytime to help someone in need. Without a doubt, his pride and joy in life was his children. Eddie loved sharing his knowledge of bows and archery to others, especially kids.
He was born on January 26, 1984 in New Albany, Indiana to Sherry Kennedy and the late Embery Heil, Sr. In addition to his father, Eddie was preceded in death by his sister, Sheryl.
Along with his mother, Eddie is survived by his wife, Beth (Fettes) Heil; children, Harley James, Madison Fettes, Austin Heil, Paige Underhill, Kloie Heil, Kylee Heil; siblings, Embery Heil, Jr. (Karen), Tina Heath, Theresa Moore; great-nephew, Skyler Heil (Natalie); and many extended family members and friends. During his life he touched many people and will never be forgotten.
Eddie's wish was to be cremated and a gathering of family and friends will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Wednesday after 9:00 a.m. A memorial service celebrating Eddie's life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
