Edward Lee Bolin, a retired Truck Driver who touched the lives of many with his great sense of humor, hard work ethic, and generous spirit, passed away on June 26, 2024 in Louisville. Born on February 9, 1952, in Louisville, he was the son of Charles P. Bolin and Mary J. Bolin.
Edward proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. His dedication and service were emblematic of his commitment to making a difference in the world. In addition to his military service, Edward's various hobbies and interests included passionately supporting both the University of Louisville and the the UK Wildcat teams. He found joy in watching basketball and football games and had a particular fondness for classic western movies.
One of Edward's proudest accomplishments was his family, particularly his grandchildren whom he adored. He is survived by his loving children: Edward Lee Bolin II (Leslie), Patricia Davis (James), and Thomas Spradlin. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who were a source of immense pride and joy for him. Along with his brothers, James Bolin and David Bolin.
Edward is reunited in peace with his father, Charles P. Bolin; mother, Mary J. Bolin; sister Janice Marie Bolin and his brother Charles Bolin Jr. He will be dearly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A Visitation will be held on July 5, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at Newcomer Southwest Louisville Chapel located at 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272. He will be laid to rest with military honors at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.
Edward Lee Bolin's legacy of kindness, humor, and selflessness will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched throughout his remarkable life. May he rest in eternal peace.
