Edith Louise Shaffer

Edith Louise Shaffer, 95, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Edith was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and creating precious everlasting memories with her children and grandchildren. Edith will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

She was born on December 6, 1929 in Louisville, Kentucky to Claude and Ella Fisher. She is preceded in death by her father, Claude Fisher; mother, Ella Pearl Fisher; husband, Ernest Ray Shaffer; son, Eugene Shaffer; daughters, Linda Hardin, Patricia Clark; and granddaughter, Alicia Brown.

Edith is survived by her loving family, daughter, Carolyn Beams; grandchildren, Tiffany Beams, Jonn Clark, Jason (Brandi) Clark, Aaron Hardin; great-grandchildren, Cameron, MacKenzie, Isiah, Alayiah, Haley, AJ, Kaleb; great-great grandchildren, Vinnie, Brynlee; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel. Her Funeral Service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Lebanon National Cemetery in Lebanon, Kentucky.
