Eddie Snead, II

Eddie Snead II, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Eddie graduated class of 1959 from Dunbar High School in Ramer, Alabama in Montgomery County. He came to Louisville in 1960 and began working at G.E. as well as Kenway Janitorial. Eddie loved people and always kept up with his family. He was a great fan of horse racing, and Alabama and UofL sports. Eddie will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on July 25, 1940 in Ramer, Alabama to Eddie and Ada (Bell) Snead. He is preceded in death by his father, Eddie Snead, Sr.; mother, Ada Snead; son, Johnny Snead; sister, Gloria Gregory.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Romona Snead; children, Gwenda, Eric, Eddie, III, Christopher, LaShawya, Nicole, Joseph; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions with burial to follow at Green Meadows Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
