Ed Wissman, Jr.

Ed Wissman, Jr. 68, passed away on October 14, 2023. The greatest love of his life, was his darling sweetheart, Bessie. He was a talented and gifted artist; who loved sharing it with others. Ed was generous to a fault and he loved being a kid with his nieces and nephews. He was an exquisite cook for his family and friends. Ed was a Studebaker enthusiast. He will be truly missed, but will forever live in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Louise Wissman, Sr.; brother, David Wissman; nephew Keith Lambert and mother-in-law, Pat Roland.

Ed leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Bessie Wissman; sister, Karen (Carl) Lambert; brother-in-law, Michael (Tarah) Roland; nephews, Carl (Lynn) Lambert, Craig (Amanda) Lambert and Anthony Roland; nieces, Kate (Ned) Cross, Cara (Drew) Esarey and Mandy Roland; 10 great-nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Gene Roland and his four legged pals, Joe and Caesar.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 12pm-4pm with a celebration of Ed's life beginning at 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Alley Cat Advocates, 3524 Newburg Rd, Louisville, KY 40218 or the Kentucky Humane Society,1000 Lyndon Lane Suite B, Louisville KY 40222, in Ed's memory.
