Earl Dennis Collins

April 25, 1944 — December 5, 2013

Earl Dennis Collins, age 69 of Louisville, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013. He was born on April 25, 1944 in Minnie, Kentucky to the late Noah and Monnie Clevinger Collins. He was a member of Westport Road Church of Christ, and served as an elder and deacon of the Middletown Church of Christ. Earl retired after 30 years of service with Spencer County School District as a teacher and coach. He was a Kentucky Colonel and the winner of the Kosair Shriner Award for Teaching. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Delorse, Noah Lee and Judith Lynn.

Mr. Collins is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Diana Music Collins; children, Brian (Laurel), Shaun (Julia); grandchildren, Aidan, Claire, Addison and Piper; brother, Carl David Collins (Launa). He is also survived by a host of relatives and many friends.

Funeral ceremony will be 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home, 331 Beaver Valley Road, Martin, Kentucky with burial to follow in Lucy Hall Cemetery in McDowell, Kentucky. Visitation will be 3-5p.m. Sunday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown and on Tuesday from 9-11 a.m. at Hall Funeral Home in Martin, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westport Road Church of Christ.
