Dr. Stephen "Steve" David Ragsdale, age 72, passed from this life into eternal life on April 3rd in Louisville, Kentucky. Steve was a faithful follower of the Lord, a loving husband and father, a skilled chiropractor, and a member of Southeast Christian Church (Encouragers ABF) for over 35 years. He was characterized by gentleness, compassion, and warm affection.
Steve was blessed by a large and loving family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. David and Mrs. June Ragsdale, and his sister, Kathy Kong.
Steve is survived by his wife of 53 years, Grace Ragsdale; his three children, Amy (Dwight) Freeman, Jason (Kristi) Ragsdale, and Nathan (Ellen) Ragsdale; his eight grandchildren, Krystal (Craig) Barry, Joshua Freeman, Ethan Ragsdale (Samantha), Madison Ragsdale, Mariah Ragsdale, Isaiah Ragsdale, Olivia Freeman, and Annalee Ragsdale; his six great-grandchildren, Bella Barry, Drake Barry, Rayden Barry, Ronyn Barry, Melody, and Addylyn Rose; and his sister Sherry (Bill) Jones.
Steve was a graduate of DuPont Manual High School and a 1975 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic. A talented guitarist, Steve had a passion for music that he imparted to his children. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and family, flying as a private pilot, and motorcycling.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 6 at Newcomer Funeral Home in Middletown, KY. Public visitation from 3pm - 6pm and Service at 6pm. The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Hosparus Health Louisville. If desired, friends may make donations to Hospuras Health Louisville, Southeast Christian Church, or Palmer College of Chiropractic in lieu of flowers.
