Dr. Enos Brown

Dr. Sarah Virginia Enos Brown, born October 19,1929 in Clifton Forge, Virginia died peacefully on February 6, 2023, in Louisville, Kentucky at the age of 93. Sarah was the daughter of William and Virginia Enos, and sister of Margaret Enos Steere. Sarah graduated from Clifton Forge High, William and Mary, the University of Louisville and Case Western Reserve culminating in her Ph.D. She proudly found her calling as a teacher where she inspired and touched so many. She was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Jim Brown; her parents and sister.

Sarah is survived by her sons, David Brown (Terri) and Mark Brown; and her daughter, Ginny Brown (David Wallace); along with her grandchildren, Miranda, Tavi (Lee), Shane, Seth, Mara and Tess; and her great granddaughter, Milana; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Sarah's family offers deep gratitude for her loving care at The Forum, Eastern Star Home and Hosparus.

There will be a grand celebration of her life on March 18, 2023 at the First Presbyterian Church, 222 Walnut Street Jeffersonville, IN 47130 at 2 PM. Burial will be private.
