Dorthy Pearl Emberton

Dorthy Pearl Emberton, 88, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. Dorthy was a beloved mom, grandma, great-grandma, and sister. She loved family gatherings and long conversations. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

She was born on March 24, 1936 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to William and Martha (Carnhan) Goad. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Emberton; grandsons, Kenneth Bohannon, Jr., Jeremy Bohannon; son-in-law, David Costello; as well as a host of siblings.

Dorthy is survived by her loving family, daughters, Marita Sue Costello, Rayna Lynn (Bill) Craycraft; granddaughter, Amber (Jeffrey) Gravatte; grandson, Adam Costello; great-grandsons, Jeffrey Gravatte, Jacob Gravatte; sister, Mary Copas; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington, Kentucky.
