Dorothy "Dot" Winn Crenshaw, 89 years old died Friday, June 13 at Friendship Health and Rehab in Pewee Valley, Kentucky. She was a member of Catawba Baptist Church (Rock Hill, SC) and prior to that a long time member of First Baptist Church (Lancaster, SC). She found joy in doing crafts, listening to the radio, and spending time with her family. She retired from the Rock Hill telephone company in 1984 where she worked as a switchboard operator for 36 years. She is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Gladys Winn, her husband Franklin B. Crenshaw, her son Thomas Franklin Crenshaw, and ten siblings.
Dot is survived by her sisters Jean Bishop (Roy) and Evelyn Mitchum, brothers Arlen Winn (Louvenia) and Clifford Winn (Brenda), daughter-in-law Miriam Crenshaw, granddaughter Winn Wheeler (David), and great grandsons Thomas and Matthew Wheeler. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
A memorial celebration of Dot's life will be 2pm, June 29, 2014 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home 700 Heckle Blvd Rock Hill, SC with interment in Lancaster Memorial Park, 1389 Memorial Park Rd, Lancaster, SC. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1pm until time of service.
