Dorothy Mae Wheatley

Dorothy Mae Wheatley , 88, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022. Dorothy enjoyed spending time at home putting together jigsaw puzzles. She liked playing cards with the family, and especially Gin Rummy. Dorothy was a member of Medora Christian Church. She was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was born on December 12, 1933 in Louisville, Kentucky to William and Rener (Ferguson ) Barnes. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Elmer Wheatley Sr, and Son, Joe Wheatley.

Dorothy is survived by her Daughters, Janice Clouse, and Janette (Roy) Trent, Son, Elmer (Kim) Wheatley, Jr. Dorothy also leaves behind to cherish her memory 9 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
