Dorothy May Smith
January 30, 1936 — April 6, 2023
Dorothy May Smith, 87, passed away on April 16, 2023. She was one of the original members of Payneville Community Church. Dorothy was an avid animal lover and was a talented artist. She was a loving wife and an amazing mother and grandmother. Dorothy will be truly missed, but will forever live in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Angela Louise Jenkins; great-grandson, Tyler Jenkins; brother, James Marshall Scott and her sister, Loretta Sutton.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 71 years, Charles Smith; sons, Danny (Carol) Smith and Charles (Michelle) Smith; grandchildren, Chastity (Bryan) Williamson, Elizabeth (Jeremy) Brasher, Joanie (David) Smith, Scott (Georgia) Graham, Danny (Raegan) Graham, Matthew (Lindsay) Smith, Rocky (Sarah) Smith and Charlie Smith; 26 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
A celebration of Dorothy's life will be Friday, April 20, 2023, at Payneville Community Church, 1275 Fackler Road, Payneville, KY, 40157, beginning at 1pm.
