Sams, Dorothy L., 88, of Louisville, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 17, 2023.
Born in Lynch, Kentucky on May 9, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Barney and Mary Sword.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Nancy Snow and Lydia Sams; her sister, Faye E. Owens; her brother, Barney Sword, Jr.; her grandson, Charles Becker, Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family chose cremation, and a celebration of life will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 219 Brookfield Hills Court, Louisville, KY 40245.
