Dorothy Renee Ballard, 46, passed away on October 27, 2012. She was an avid General Hospital fan and enjoyed doing the dishes. Dorothy could easily be described as a kid at heart and she truly loved her family.
She was born on February 4, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois. She is survived by her sister, Alisa Ashby; aunts, Betty Ann Roseberry, Mary Dunlap (Ted), Jackie Schmidt (George); cousins, Susan, Brandon, Jené "Nikki", Shawn P., Avery, Embry Howard, Aidan Schultz; numerous extended family, cousins; and her faithful companion, Gracie Mae.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 PM Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will take place at 12 PM on Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Floyd County Animal Shelter or to the Humane Society.
