Dorothy Mae Rule
July 26, 1925 — December 21, 2013
Dorothy Mae Rule, age 88, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at her residence in Dayton, Ohio. Dorothy, a longtime resident of Louisville, Kentucky, was born on July 26, 1925. She was preceded in death by her parents: Teddy & Hattie Travelstead; and her younger sister: Carole Lee Dennis.
Dorothy is survived by her son: Charles T. (Sandy) Rule of Dayton, Ohio; sisters: Lillian Neeley & Shirley Williams of Louisville; grandson: Todd (Cassandra Lewis) Rule; two great granddaughters: Iya & Elena; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Dorothy retired after many years at Louisville Tile and served the Louisville First Seventh-Day Adventist Church in numerous capacities.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home – East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Dr., Louisville. Interment will follow the service at Cave Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.
