Dorothy Nunes Laws

Dorothy Nunes "Dottie" Laws, 95, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved the city of Louisville and has made the best memories here with her family and friends. She was a kind and gentle woman, quick to laugh, and treated everyone fairly. Dottie will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was born on June 30, 1927 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. She is preceded in death by her Husband, James Arthur Laws, Bonus Grandson, Michael Hendrick, Jr., Sister, Margie Riggs, and Nephew, Robert Riggs.

Dorothy is survived by her loving family, Son, Daniel James Laws; Daughter, Susan Clo (Michael) Hendrick; Grandchildren, Donovan (Katherine) Keith, Sol Keith, and Michael Laws; Bonus Grandchild, Alex (Angela) Hendrick; Great-Grandchildren, Alicia Laws, Ian Keith; Bonus Great-Grandchildren, Justice Hendrick and Evelynn Hendrick; Sister, Mildred Bilbrey; Nieces and Nephews, Ursula (Katheryn) Fristch, Randy (Jean) Riggs, John (Kathy) Riggs, and Kathleen Riggs, as well as a host of Great-Nieces, Great-Nephews, cousins, family, and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
