Dorothy J. Kyrk, 89, of Jeffersonville, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Clark Memorial Hospital. She was a 1941 graduate of Jeffersonville High School and retired from the IRS in 1977.
Dorothy was born on January 15, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late William L. and Helen (Throne) Kyrk. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Harvey Kyrk and half-brother, Joseph Donovan.
She is survived by her nieces, Trinette Imhof (Louie), Pamela Samuels (Carl); sister-in-laws, Ruth Kyrk and Alice Donovan; 1 great-niece and 1 great-nephew. Private burial will take place on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville following Dorothy's wishes.
Contributions in Dorothy's memory may be made to the Leukemia Foundation in honor of her late brother, Harvey.
