Dorothy A. Evans

Dorothy A. "Dot" Evans, age 86 of Louisville, formerly of Pinehurst, North Carolina, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018. She earned an Associate's Degree from University of Kentucky and was an avid Wildcat fan. Dot was a founding member of Pinehurst Baptist Church. She was a gifted artist, avid golfer, social butterfly and enjoyed retirement with her family and friends. She always kept a positive outlook on life and loved her family and friends very much. Dot was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond B. Evans, Sr., her daughter, Elizabeth A. LaMascus; and her parents, Lynn and Eunice Carter Johnson.

Dot is survived by her loving children, Raymond "Ben" Evans, Jr. (Jennifer Radican) and Tracy Lynn Thiemet; grandchildren, Michael Evans (Amanda), Christopher Evans, Evan LaMascus and Matthew Thiemet; great-granddaughter, Cassidy Evans; and a host of family and friends.

A gathering to celebrate Dot's life will be 2-4 pm Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown, with remembrances at 4pm. Dot will be buried at a later date in Bethesda Cemetery, Aberdeen, North Carolina, next to her husband.
