Doris Jean Whitney

Doris Jean Whitney, age 87 of Louisville, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and retired secretary in her husband's business. She was known for her quick wit and humor, was an avid UK fan and loved her family very much. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert and daughter, Julie.

Doris is survived by her children, Robin Whitney, Jennifer Whitney and Rodney "Blake" Whitney (Sherri); grandchildren, Ryan, David and Joshua Whitney; great-grandson, Ezra Whitney. Also surviving are a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral ceremony will be 3pm Friday, March 21, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive. Visitation will be on Friday from 1pm until time of service. Burial will be private.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
