Donny Key

Donald “Donny” Key, age 74 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Donny dedicated his life to making people smile and helping others. He was always one to give more than he received. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting trips with Pop and his brothers and never missed out on an opportunity to go fishing. While raising his children, he enjoyed spending his time at South Oldham Little League as a volunteer getting the fields ready for baseball and softball games, and as a coach for numerous teams. His infectious smile and laugh is how he will best be remembered. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ulyssus and Mary Key; his older brother, Jerry; and twin brother, Danny. 

Donny is survived by his loving wife Veronica Key; and his children, Matt (Heather) Key and Angie (Brian) Fox. He leaves behind four grandchildren who he was most proud of and who will miss him dearly,  Andrew Key, Carson Key, Jacob Fox, and Mary Fox. He is also survived by two sister-in-laws;  several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 1 to 4 pm on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243.  A Catholic funeral will follow at 4pm at the funeral home.
