Donna Williams

Donna Jean Williams, age 53 of Jeffersonville, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014. She was a member of St. Stephen Church in Jeffersonville, was a retired Army Veteran and served in the Marine Corps as well, combined for over 13 years. She was decorated with several distinguished medals of achievement and also served in Desert Storm. She was a very loving mom and compassionate friend, especially mentoring to other Armed Service members, coworkers and strangers despite her challenges. She continuously worked for continued education and received her Bachelor and Masters Degree from Sullivan University in 2007. She was a single mother who nurtured her two children and taught them to care for others and treat them with respect and dignity. Despite her challenges she never complained, and taught her children to remain faithful and strong. She is preceded in death by her siblings Jeffrey Dail and Vertrill Boyer.

Donna is survived by her children, Tahira Wilson and Terry Wilson; grandchildren, Nevaeh Pearl Ridenour, Jayden Alpha Wilson Borges and Makenzie Jaida Wilson; mother, Pearlie Jean Dunn and step-father, James Alpha Dunn; and her father, Nathaniel Lee; brother, Rodney Dail; and sister, Evelyn Edwards. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A celebration of Donna's life will be 11am Thursday, March 6, 2014 at St. Stephen Church Louisville Campus 1018 South 15th St. Louisville, KY. 40210, with visitation there from 10am until time of service.
