Donna Jean Upton

Donna Jean Upton, 74, of Sellersburg, Indiana, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, with her three girls, Anna, Jeannie and Angela at her bedside. Donna was born on October 29, 1948, in Louisville, KY, the daughter of Donald and LaVerne Nipple (Spond). Donna was united in marriage to her husband, Gene Upton on June 16, 1965 in Louisville, KY.

Donna is survived by her three daughters, Anna Davidson (Terry) of Henryville, Jeannie Oster (Todd) of Henryville and Angela Hayden (JD Taylor) of Louisville; her five grandchildren, Pauli Davidson, Luke Davidson, Sam Davidson, Ezra Hayden and Grace Oster; and her four siblings, Judith Dowling (Butch) of Argyle, WI, Beverly Gerstch of Argyle, WI, Charles Nipple (Cindy) of South Wayne, WI and Shirley Holzhueter (Lynn) of Waterloo, WI.

Donna was a member of Wall Street Methodist Church in Jeffersonville, IN. She was passionate about her church and being a disciple of Christ. Donna loved working in her yard, spending time with her family, helping others within her community and when the right songs were played, loved to dance.

Donna retired from Krunchers (Campbell's Soup Company) in 2016 after approximately 40 years of service.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Monday, at the funeral home. Cremation will follow in accordance with Donna's wishes.
