Donna Fay Summers

Donna Fay Summers, age 71 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022. She was born on September 22, 1950 in Magnolia, Kentucky to Murl and Kathryn Womack. Donna moved to Louisville, Kentucky at a young age and graduated from Manual High School. Several years later, she returned to school at Ivy Tech in Indiana and graduated with a Nursing degree. In her earlier years, she enjoyed dancing and working in the yard. She retired from Jewish Hospital as a RN after many years of dedicated service and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved her sons and her grandchildren more than anything in the world. She is preceded in death by her parents, Murl Womack and Kathryn Mildred Bothe Womack Milam; and her infant brother, Richard Murl Womack.

Donna is survived by her sons, Scotty Dale Summers (Dana) and Stephen Murl Summers (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Jessica Gomez (Mike), Cole Summers, Bridget Burton, Brennan Summers and Grace Summers; her great-grandchildren, Jordyne Morris, Ivy Morris, Carmella Gomez and Amelia Gomez; her sisters, Rachel Scott and Judy Nesbit (Richard); numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family members.

Visitation will be 10am to 6pm on Sunday, June 26, 2022 and on Monday, June 27th after 8:30am until time of service at 10am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. Burial will follow in Holly Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Magnolia, Kentucky at 2:30pm.
