Donna Sue Beckham

Beckham,
Donna Sue, 55, answered God's call to eternal rest on Wednesday, December 26, 2012. She was born in Shelbyville, KY on August 8, 1957 to the union of Matthew Beckham and the late Rena Mae Jones.
Donna confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. Though she never became a mother, she loved her nieces and nephews and enjoyed reading to them as well as helping them with homework. She loved music and played with bands in Louisville and San Francisco.
Donna really loved her guitar. After high school she moved to California and joined an all-female band as the lead guitarist. After returning to Louisville she worked at Mother's Cookies for years and was proud of the fact that she had a part in making Girl Scout Cookies.
She loved the Louisville Cardinals and watching the games. Donna also loved astrology and was a huge fan of Star Trek.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rena Beckham and a sister, Rose White. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, father, Matthew (Dicky) Beckham, sisters, Barbara Hines and Lorraine Gray (Butch), brothers, Terry and Douglas Beckham of Dallas, TX and Lemont Beckham of Louisville, KY.
Funeral service will be Sunday, December 30, 2012, 5 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Dr. Visitation will be from 4 to 5 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the KY Humane Society. Online condolences may be left at www.newcomerlouisville.com.
