Donna Gail Leffler, nee Cochran,
Departed from this world on November 28, 2022, surrounded by loved ones in her home. She left life in the same way she lived it, on her own terms.
Hardworking, quick witted, and fiercely determined, Donna lived life unapologetically. Her personal life was spent raising four adoring children to be strong, independent adults. Her decades long professional life was spent pursuing her interest in medicine, working as a nurse in many fields, including the ER and NICU. In her later years, her passions turned to animals, including her beloved dogs, feeding hummingbirds, and watching deer in the backyard.
Her passing will be felt on many levels, as she meant so much to so many. She was not only a mother, a sister, and a wife, she was also a friend, an adviser, and a confidant. She will be deeply missed and loved.
Donna was preceded in death by her beloved mother, June Nichols, her father, Edwin Cochran, her sister, Linda Malone (Gene), her brother, Mickey Cochran, and her soulmate and biggest fan, Harvey Leffler. She is survived by her sister Judy Anderson (Andy), her one and only son, Scott Veatch (Dana), and her three daughters, Suzanne Carter (Larry), Stephanie Ikanovic (Damir), and Stacy Miller (Tom). Her legacy lives on in her nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery (4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY).
