Donelbert Ray Summers

Donelbert Ray "Bubba" Summers, 47, passed on to meet his Creator once more on January 31, 2019. He enjoyed working on cars, camping, cook-outs and fireworks. Spending time and being with his family and friends meant the world to him. Donnie loved being a prankster and had a contagious laugh and had a love for animals and nature. Though he struggled with his illness for 14 years, he never lost his faith in God above. Donnie will be truly missed, always loved and never forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his loving father, Charles Edward Summers and brother, Jack Summers,

He is survived by his wife, Rita Cammack; daughters, Toni Summers, Celia Summers and Anna Summers; loving mother, Sylvia Summers; step-daughters, Stevia Cammack and Ashley Cammack; 3 step-grandchildren; sisters, Charlotte Bell and Jeanie Thrasher; brothers, Charles Edward "Poncho" Summers, II and Jesse Virgil Summers; best friends, Terry Duke, Brian Nevitt, Jo Jo Orms and Tony Grant and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 1pm-8pm. A celebration of Donelbert's life will be Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 760 Eastern Parkway, Louisville, KY 40217.

Burial will follow at Brookland Cemetery, 4895 N. Preston Highway, Louisville, KY.
