Donald Edward Wooldridge, 78, of Radcliff, Kentucky passed away on October 18, 2023 in Louisville, Kentucky.
He was born on September 11, 1945 in Louisville to the late Joseph Edward Wooldridge and Lucille Schuler Wooldridge. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from St. Pius X Seminary in Erlanger, Kentucky and his Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Spalding University in Louisville. Donald worked in Civil Service and then went into private practice as a Clinical Psychologist until retirement. Donald was a member of the Cathedral of the Assumption Choir for 10 years, as well as a member of Voces Novae. He volunteered as Region X retreat director and served as St. Brigid Catholic Church youth minister and Eucharistic Minister from 1976 to 2000. Donald was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam. He reached the rank of Lieutenant and received the Bronze Service Medal (2D AWD).
Donald is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Wooldridge, and his brother, Charles Joseph Wooldridge (Joyce).
A Mass to celebrate Donald's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at St. Martha Catholic Church (2825 Klondike Lane, Louisville, KY 40218). The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until the service time on Wednesday. A committal service will be at 12:30 PM that day at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.
