Donald Wayne Wilson

Donald Wayne Wilson, 67, of Magnolia, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Mr. Wilson was a loving and devoted husband and father. He drove a school bus for 17 years and loved every child as his own. Mr. Wilson strived to encourage every child he encountered and loved to help them follow their dreams. He was an avid UK fan, enjoyed playing his guitar & singing in church, a Star Wars fanatic and a motorcycle enthusiast. Mr. Wilson was the most amazing DJ in Larue County. He was a talented craftsman and always had a woodworking project. Mr. Wilson will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on July 17, 1956 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky to Vernalene (Morgan) Warren. He is preceded in death by his mother, Vernalene Warren.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his loving family, children, Jonathan (Aiden) Wilson, Kristen (Travis) Druen, Matthew (Stephanie Wardrip) Wilson, Joshua Lee Wilson; father, Paul Warren; grandchildren, Parker Lee Wilson, Rylie Ann Erb, Declan Keith Wilson, Hunter Blake Sanders, Elizabeth Rose Sanders, William Dale Sanders, and one on the way; sister, Pamela (Larry) Carter; brothers, Dennis (Deana) Wilson, Billy (Diane) Wilson; love of his life, Sandra Wilson; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

A memorial service in his honor will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at New Covenant Church Mission, 1214 Vim Drive, Louisville, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Mr. Wilson's memory be made to Norton Children's Hospital.
