Donald Wellington Sharp, 73, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016. He was born in Ashland, Kentucky on November 23, 1942 to the late Earl Wellington and Maysie Esther Sharp. He was a member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church and US Airforce veteran.
He is preceded in death by sisters, Delores Dick, Jeanine Kamber and Kay Wheatley.
Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Lisa Benningfield Sharp; children, Lisa (Sid) Campbell, Lori (David) Bradford, Donnie (Liz Roy) Sharp and Philip (Charlsie) Sharp two step-children, Travis (Kelly) Vaughn and Ashley Vaughn; grandchildren, Taylor, Trey, Lindsey, Krissi, Sarena, Gabe, Regan, Blake, Sophie and Stella; great-grandchildren, Peyton, RJ and Clare; sisters, Juanita Gullett and Jenny Fannin; and mother of his children, Judith Elaine Norman Sharp.
Funeral Ceremony 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. Visitation 12:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Louisville Veterans Administration or Hosparus.
