Donald Lee Turner

Donald Lee Turner, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022. Donald was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. He was a gifted athlete and played basketball for Flaget High School and Bellermine College, and could play pool. He was loving and devoted family man who enjoyed giving hugs & kisses to his family. Donald will be missed by all those who knew and loved him, and everyone will miss hanging out with him.

He was born on August 30, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his long time Companion and Best Friend, Angela Smith, Mother, Irma Turner, Brother, Maurice Parker Jr., and Grandchildren, Darrell Jones, and Jada Jones.

Donald is survived by his Sons, Michael (Marcella) Jenkins, Darrell (Cathy) Smith, Derrick (Delisa) Smith, Britt Smith, and Phillip Wade, Brother, Michael Parker, Sisters, Charlotte Stephenson, Sheila Turner, and Jocqueline Turner. Grandsons, Tyree Sr., Michael Sr., Damari, and Darrian. Donald also leaves behind to cherish his memory 9 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). His Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
