Donald Joe "Donnie" Smith, Sr, 53, passed away on April 12, 2024. He loved being outdoors, bonfires, picnics and carnivals. Donnie's greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald H. and JoAnn Smith.
Donnie leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Ashley Smith, Jessica (Dale Dever) and DJ Smith; grandchildren, Kaden, Layleiona, Dale Dever, III, Jesse, Brendyn and Kamdyn; siblings, Jimmy Henderson and Linda Warren; nephews, Josh, Matthew, Timothy, Jeremy; niece, Jennifer and the mother of his children, Lora Smith.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Newcomer Cremations Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 4pm-6pm with a celebration of Donnie's life beginning at 6pm.
