Donald A. Richards

Donald A. Richards, 84, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022. Don was a gifted musician, who loved playing the drums and bass. He was a dedicated, lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan and was proud to be a Kentucky Colonel.

He was born on May 18, 1938, in Granite City, Illinois, to the late Arthur Richards and Mildred (Karrer) Jenkins. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jim Richards; and stepfather, Joseph Jenkins.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Terry Richards; daughter, Tami (Jeff) Chanley; son, Tom (Jennifer) Richards; daughter, Suzanne (Matthew) Rice; son, Joseph Richards; sister, Nancy Rapp; grandchildren, Logan (Susie) Chanley, Ashley (Devin) Triplett, Austin (Brookelynn) Richards, Aubrey Richards, Addison Richards, Alexis Richards, Johnathon Rice, Nikolas Rice, Abigail Rice, Samuel Richards, and Isaiah Richards; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will take place privately Friday, December 9, 2022, at 1:00 p.m.
