Donald Ray Orthober

Donald Ray Orthober, age 71 of Louisville, returned to his Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, July 23, 2014. He served his country as a Navy Seabee. He was a graduate of Shawnee High School, attended Florida College, and received his Bachelor's Degree from Western Kentucky University. Don was a retired independent contractor and home builder. He was a faithful member of the Douglass Hills Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Eleanor Smith Orthober.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Jenny Morrison Orthober; children, Donita McPherson (Chris), Shawn Orthober (Jenifer) and Jessie Orthober; grandchildren, Ella, Luke and Taylor McPherson, Ashton, Alayna and Lily Orthober; siblings, Carol Fauth (Bob), Steve Orthober (Brenda) and Janice Cox (Jim); also a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral ceremony will be 11am Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3-8pm Monday and after 9:30 am Tuesday until time of service.
