Donald R. "Donnie" Hunter, 60, a dedicated family man, passed away after a long-term illness at his residence on Wednesday, October 10, 2012. He was an avid deer hunter, fisherman, and a lifetime member of the American Hunting Club.
Donnie was born on August 24, 1952 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the late Harley and JoAnn (Cox) Hunter. He is survived by his wife, Kathy W. (Seelbach) Hunter; daughters, Shannon Lopez, Michelle Clark (Doug); siblings, Ronald Hunter, Sharon Abbott (Michael); grandchildren, Jeffery, Jordan, Joshua Nichols, Justin Lopez, Stephen Balderas, and Alexia Clark.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 PM Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hosparus – the Community Hospice of Southern Indiana.
