Donald L. Moore Sr.

Donald Lee Moore Sr. of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on January 5th, 2025.

Don was born June 2nd, 1938 in West Virginia along with 8 brothers and sisters. Donald raised his family in New Albany, IN and retired from American Standard after 36 years of service. Don loved gardening, working outside, visiting family and a good card game.

Don was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Vina (Maynard) Moore, his siblings Inez (Vernice) Scarbro, Herbert (Wilma Jean) Moore Jr, Rebecca (Bobby) Moore, Louise (Johnny) Hensley, Elias (Bessie) Moore, Raymond (Sue) Moore, Eugene Moore, his ex-wife Ginger, and his grandson Michael (Mikie) Madden. 

He is survived by his three children, Lisa (Tony) Madden Fiore, Donald Moore Jr and John Paul Moore; grandchildren, John M (Alyssa) Moore, Halee Bates, Allison Moore, Lauren Moore, Jack Moore, Grace Madden Fiore and Vivienne Madden Fiore, his brothers Les (Carolyn) Moore and Jerry Moore; and many wonderful cousins, nephews and nieces.

Don’s visitation will take place on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Newcomers Funeral Home, New Albany, Indiana with a funeral to follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.

Donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House in remembrance of Mikie and Donald Moore.
