Donald Lee Mathley

Mathley, Donald Lee, 78, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away on September 1, 2016. He retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer from the U.S. Naval Reserve. He was a member of Whole Life Ministries in Augusta, Georgia.

Donald was born on June 15, 1938, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William and Evelyn Mathley. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Mathley Cahill.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Anna "Sue" Mathley; son, Rick Mathley (Vicki); grandchildren, Jessica Schank (Steve), Matthew Cahill (Molly), Heather Cahill Hannigan (Mike), Amber Cahill Gordon (Nick); great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ellis, Alexis, MaKayla, Conner, Bailey and Noah; siblings, Bill Mathley (Jackie), Patricia Mathley Hodge, Ken Mathley; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 2 p.m.-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243). A funeral service to honor the life of Donald will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 12 noon at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington, Kentucky.
