Donald Joel Jeffries Sr.

Donald Joel Jeffries Sr., 81, of Louisville, KY passed away on December 28, 2013. He retired from Hubbuchs & Co. Don was a member of the first graduating class of Manual High School, and was a member of Kosair, Scottish Rite, Toastmasters, 32 Club, Optimist Club, and a Kentucky Colonel.
Don was born on September 17, 1932, in Louisville to the late David and Lura (Bell) Jeffries. He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra of 33 years and Rebecca of 21 years.
Don is survived by his sons, Donald Jeffries Jr., Steven Jeffries Sr.; daughters, Wendy Voelker, Tracie Young, and Lisa Jeffries; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, December 30, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). Funeral Ceremony will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
